Excess DSR Capsule

INTRODUCTION

• Excess-DSR Capsule is a prescription medicine. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease. It relieves heartburn, stomach pain or irritation, and indigestion. It promotes the movement of food in the stomach to prevent nausea or vomiting.
• Excess-DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines. It is to be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. In case you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. A high dose or overdose may have harmful effects on the body.
• This medicine is generally well tolerated by patients. Some of the common side effects of this medicine are stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, and headache. Before taking the medicine always consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you are suffering from any severe stomach, liver, kidney disease, or any known disease.

HOW TO USE EXCESS-DSR CAPSULE 

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Excess-DSR Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
• Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.

HOW EXCESS-DSR CAPSULE  WORKS

Excess-DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol

Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Excess-DSR Capsule. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

Excess-DSR Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Excess-DSR Capsule should be used with caution during breatfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving

Excess-DSR Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Excess-DSR Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Excess-DSR Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

Excess-DSR Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Excess-DSR Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
